Douglas Coupland published "Generation X" the so called lost generation. They are described as living in a very privileged society that was powered by advancements in technology. A stigma surrounding generation X, presumably doing nothing of importance having no specific goals in their live; in short a generation that will not achieve anything unless... But the first signs of the so called New Economy, based on high tech developments, were showing. No one suspected the important role Generation X would play in developments in the New Economy. To everyone's surprise (some) Gen X so called "slackers" made millions creating and selling their Internet companies. Not all did well but the world was fascinated by the stories surrounding the few big successes (Google), and sure were there are successes there are failures... |
